1. The glass did not “slip off the track.” The window regulator is broken and needs to be replaced.

2. If you your boyfriend cannot even get the door trim panel off, there is no way he is going to be able to replace the window regulator. He needs to admit that he has no idea what he is doing, that he is not a technician and that you need to take your car to a shop for repairs.

The power window motors are common failures on the Tiburons. Both sides went on my 2003 Tiburon. I got them both replaced under the warranty when I had the car, yours is out of warranty now of course. Hyundai will warranty the repairs and labor for one year after the date performed so be sure and always keep your vehicle records from the Dealer.
