its so funny reading the comments of the one or two hyundai haters who spam the whole comment page. the truth is the sonata is selling extremely well, over 18000 a month. when the turbo and the hybrid models the number of sonatas sold will probably surpass 20000 a month. its success shows that what the haters say are isolated incidents and is not true for everycar that hyundai makes

@xoquixxoqafxo Your just a idiot because hyundai has been building cars that are up to par with honda on quality and reliability. The engines are just as good and so are the rest o the powertrains. You need to look at the facts from places like Jdpower and Associates, Consumer Reports, msn autos, were the gather the information on theproblems people experience on there cars also survey owners. You must not know a lot about cars and anything at that. The Hyundai 4.6 v8 was a WARDS best engine

Thats not true anymore for ford. Their quality has been surging in the past 3 years. If i had to own American I would take a Ford. My first choice in the midsize sedan segment would still be a Honda Accord, then itd be a Ford Fusion Sport. The common attribute that both cars share is that they are both fun to drive on a twisty road but still deliver a compliant ride. I just like that Honda still has better resale than Ford. Sonata still handles like Camry, but SE has stiff ride.

@xoquixxoqafxo That lady sure made the right choice, ford’s have more rattles, rust problems, engine issues and cheap intetior pieces that fall apart easy, they never get good gas mileage either. trust me, i had a ford and would never buy another american car again. import cars are the way to go, american cars like Ford, Gm and Chrysler still still need to catch up to their level. I may sound bias but to each their own.

Another moldsmobile.
Don’t own one of these in a damp climate.
It’s a breeding ground for molds, viruses, etc.
Health hazard.

When she traded it in it had 3000 miles she had it for nearly 2 months. She said it never got better than 25 on the hwy and around 21 in town. She complained that it had horrible squeaks and rattles, interior trim pieces fell apart, and it lost nearly 4k in the 2 months that she had it. She also said the ride was terribly harsh. She made the right choice by getting the fusion. Although she was stupid enough to get that hyundai in the first place :P

@N2Oseller all these reviews are similar, best thing to do is go test it for your self and see if you like it. i have yet to test it but i did sit in one and check it out, it is top notch quality compared to the previous model.

@xoquixxoqafxo you will never get the advertised gas mileage unless you do all freeway driving, if you look closer at the dealers sticker on the window it will say combined gas mileage, all cars no matter the brand say this, the mileage will always be lower. my nissan altima is rated 31mpg but i always only get 23-24 mpg. the sonata should get about 26-27 combined. that lady that got the fusion is in for a big surprise if she thinks she will get better mileage, the fusion gets about 23-24 too.

LOL watching “motorweek” is like having the car’s brochure read to you. Why don’t you tell us more than how much space the trunk has or how pretty the car is. This show sucks!

blah blah blah, you sound like the lame ass new hyundai commercials. Especially the stupid one where they have consumers talking about how nice the car is. Excuse? but what the hell do those people know about cars? Most of them are ignorant car buyers that only base their opinion on that first impression. I had a lady at a Ford dealership come in to trade in her 2011 sonata for a fusion bc she said it had rattles, didnt get the advertised gas mileage and was a cheap car.

Hyundai beat toyota because they have gone to shit with quality in their quest to be the largest automaker in the world. Hyundai will never beat honda in engineering. Honda is still the number one manufacture in the world for engines and it shows in the design of the engines in their cars. Honda’s motors have been all about fuel economy, power, refinement, and an eagerness to rev for years. Resale is still shit. I’ll take me Honda over this Korean built knockoff of a honda.

@xoquixxoqafxo automakes have been doing this for years. Toyotas success came with their lexus division coping the Mercedes design in the 90’s. its a proven formula that works with every automaker taking desings from other automakers. Hyundai has now developed their very own personal desing called fluidic sculpture, its a desing that will be through their entire line of cars, also hyundai now sits as #1 most fuel efficient company in america, and are now built in america at the alabama plant.

this car is just amazing, toyota and honda better watch out, they should probably start learning from hyundai or they are soon going to be overtaken, oh hold on, actually hyundai already overtook toyota this year in inital quality and reliability putting hyundai at #7 just below honda that sits at #6. Honda your going down next year! lol.

its fucking ugly. Hate the chrome that goes to the front end. Rear looks ok with Dual Exhaust on SE but the front is soo ugly. All Hyundai does is copy copy copy. They stole this design from Mercedes CLS and VW CC… Sorry, but i prefer my “H’ badge with a square around it and not an oval :P

This is a SE model not a Limited. You can tell by the rims, leather and cloth seats, and the lack of an auto a/c unit. Not to mention the dual tail pipes.
